Fees

What you pay.

You choose one fee type per family. We take no commission from any product we advise on.

SEBI’s limits

  • Fixed fee: at most ₹1,51,000 a year for your whole family.
  • Percentage fee: at most 2.5% a year of the assets we advise on.

Plan and one year of advice costs ₹1,20,000, which stays within the fixed-fee limit.

No charge

First conversation

No fee

A short call to see whether the practice is the right fit. It is not advice and it does not start an agreement.

Fixed fee

Written financial plan

₹35,000

A one-time written plan for one family: goals, cash flow, risk profile and an asset allocation. Valid as a fixed fee within the annual ceiling.

Fixed fee

Ongoing advice, one year

₹90,000 per year

Reviews and recommendations for one year for one family. Billed quarterly. Not combined with the assets-under-advice mode.

Fixed fee

Plan and one year of advice

₹1,20,000

The written plan plus a year of ongoing advice. Still under the ₹1,51,000 yearly ceiling per family.

Assets under advice

Assets under advice

1.00% a year

One percent a year of assets under advice, billed quarterly in arrears. The regulatory ceiling is 2.50% a year. This mode is not charged together with a fixed fee for the same period.

How fees are charged

  • A client chooses one mode. Fixed fees and assets-under-advice fees are not stacked for the same period to get around the ceiling.
  • For the ceiling, a family is the individual client, spouse, dependent children and dependent parents, as SEBI specifies.
  • Fees are exclusive of GST, which is charged where it applies.
  • Fees are taken only through a banking channel. The practice does not take cash, and it does not ask clients to transfer money meant for investments into the adviser’s account.
  • Any amount taken before the work is done will not cover more than one quarter. If the agreement ends, the unearned portion is refunded.
  • The practice does not take commissions, trail or referral payments from product manufacturers for clients it advises.

Good to know

  • The fee is written in your agreement before you sign. Nothing is added later.
  • Pay only by bank transfer or another traceable method, and keep the receipt.
  • Fund houses and brokers charge their own costs (for example expense ratio or brokerage). These are not part of our fee.
